Please consider the below descriptions of each construction type carefully and select the type that best suits the situation.

Massive with 100% Concrete Floors

Category - FRC / Massive / Brick / Concrete Floors

Roof - Any material other than thatch

Floors - Concrete and stone

Walls - Brick, concrete block, brick veneer, stone, iron on steel frame, cement sheet and hardi plank on steel frame. Brick walls having external timber cladding to be deemed Massive.

Massive with Mixed Timber Floors

Category - FRC / Massive / Brick / Timber Floors

Roof - Any material other than thatch

Floors - Timber floors or a mixture

Walls - Brick, concrete block, brick veneer, stone, iron on steel frame, cement sheet and hardi plank on steel frame. Brick walls having external timber cladding to be deemed Massive.

Mixed Construction > 50% Massive Walls

Category - Mixed Construction

Roof - Any material other than thatch

Floors - Timber floors or a mixture

Walls - Partly of brick and partly of wood, or other inferior construction less than 50% of wall space.

Inferior Construction > 50% Inferior Walls

Category - Inferior Construction

Roof - Any material other than thatch

Floors - Timber floors

Walls - Wood, or other inferior construction.
